Habitat:Most commonly found in fairly well-drained soil under deciduous trees in mixed woods and northern hardwood forests; they can also be seen along streams and the slopes of ravines. Likes loamy soil with leaf litter and decaying organic matter. It takes several years of development before individual plants will flower in a typical woodland setting.
